The Brief
Assignment
Build a distinctive corporate and employer brand for a growing specialist competing with much larger players.
Challenge
Small company, big-company competition. At some point, expertise alone stops being enough to keep growing. The question therefore was clear: how does a specialised project-management company stand out against the industry giants and win the people it needs for its next chapter? The answer couldn’t be to act bigger. It had to make greybee’s particular strength impossible to overlook.
The Idea

Don’t compete
on size.
Compete on
effect.

We looked past job titles, methods and standard consulting language to name what greybee actually creates: a combination of insight-driven thinking, sharp execution and smart technology that moves organisations forward with real momentum. Not just a way of working, an effect.

The Bee Effect.

The BeeEffect gave greybee one central idea for both sides of its business. For clients, it stands for the force that turns complex plans into executable projects. For talent, it became the promise of an environment where responsibility, technology and ambition make careers fly. One idea, connecting corporate positioning, client communication and employer branding.

The Bee Effect.
Execution

From bee
to honey.

We translated the BeeEffect into a complete brand system: positioning, brand story, corporate design, imagery and a distinctive verbal world. Instead of borrowing the codes of the big consultancies, greybee got an identity built around its own character.

A verbal world with its own attitude: headlines like “Um die Ecke denken, geradeaus machen.” turn the strategy into everyday language people remember.

A brand with room to play.

Happy Brithday, greybee! Ten years of greybee. So who better to tell the story than the real experts on being ten? We handed the anniversary film to a cast of 10-year-olds and they explained project management better than any boardroom ever has.

Why walk when you can fly?

The corporate proposition became a talent proposition. “We make projects fly” moved into career mode through an employer branding campaign winning new talent and experienced specialists alike.

From LinkedIn to liberty.

The employer brand extended across LinkedIn and social content. Every format carried the same invitation: take responsibility, create momentum and build a career with room to move.

Recruiting social ad: close-up portrait with the line “Wieviel Stolz steckt in deinem Schweiß?”
Recruiting social ad: a jet turbine with the line “Turbinen brauchen deinen Grips.”
Recruiting social ad: a person under neon light with the line “Du willst Erfolg? Mach Fehler!”
Recruiting social ad: scattered Lego bricks with the line “Keiner hat einen Plan. Außer dir.”
Recruiting social ad: crumpled paper on green with the line “Klartext? Sprichste fließend.”
Recruiting social ad: a handstand on a jetty with the line “Denk um die Ecke. Ohne zu bremsen.”
Recruiting social ad: a motion-blurred portrait with the line “1.500 Systeme, 28 Länder, 650 Kollegen. Und du der Dirigent.”
Recruiting social ad: windblown hair with the line “Karriere gibt’s nicht knitterfrei.”
Outcome

One effect across the whole brand.

The BeeEffect became the connecting idea across greybee's corporate brand, website, project communication, employer branding, social content and campaigns.
